We have established a Novice Development Programme of 15 guaranteed study days over 12 months to support your transition from novice to skilled practitioner (with preceptorship support) and to develop expanded clinical skills and competence. You will receive continuing professional support from the Supervisors of Practice and the Directorate Nurse Manager.
Once you have developed into a skilled practitioner, there are opportunities to continue your professional development with financial support and study leave to undertake Welsh National Board clinical nursing courses or higher education degree courses.
Llandough Hospital is located in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales, 5 miles from Cardiff, the thriving capital of Wales, yet also within minutes of picturesque coast and countryside. This Trust is a major teaching hospital with strong academic links with the University Hospital of Wales, College of Medicine and its School of Nursing.
