COMMUNITY SERVICES

Our community services are provided by specialist paediatric and young adult neuro teams. Clients with chronic chest problems, arthritic conditions and the elderly receive a service from staff working flexibly between hospital and community, ensuring clinical continuity for both staff and clients. Departments are configured to support free communication between professional groups, with a move towards shared treatment areas i.e. active promotion of joint treatment between Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and/or Chiropody.

There are active out-patient Physiotherapy services at two hospital sites, with a gradual move towards G.P. Practice based working.
